Our 2002 Winning Team "A Touch of Class"
We have winners!

The 2002 three-round tournament was won by the team "A Touch of Class". Our Second place team was "Mary Poppins and the Teeth of Satan".

Teevus has left the Con.

That's right, Teevus and the other five characters have left the convention. In Nascrag's last appearance in Milwaukee (in case you didn't hear, next year Gen Con moves to Indianapolis) we ran 50 teams in our adventure, "Second: Chances". 300 players met the challenging puzzles, traps, and riddles in our event. For second round we had an additional physical challange, as the 19 teams that advanced from round one then had to show up and play at 8:00 am (CST). Only twelve teams advanced to round 3.

Gen Con 2002 Recap

300 players worked their way through round one of our event (50 teams total). We would have prefered to have 60 more players, but considering we lost a round 1 slot, there was no pre-registration booklet, and for months we were incorrectly listed as being sold out we feel we did pretty good. Convention staff limited us to 20 tables per slot. At the Friday round one slot we ran 22 tables.

It took three tries before the supposedly "reserved" room we had for the awards ceremony materialized. Then the fun really started. This year we added an additional contest to the ceremony, our very own Teevus impersonation contest! The winner was given a large, framed, autographed Teevus poster and then seranated by NASCRAG's very own Relespy Lives Quartet.

Too Much Fun!

Yes, with NASCRAG it always is. But then again, providing fun at Gen Con is the whole point of NASCRAG. If we didn't have fun we wouldn't be there. Surely you didn't think we came just for the RPGA points? Send any text stories, lyrics, or comments you wish to Buster.

NASCRAG thanks the Authoring Team, the Filking Wiener's, for an execellent adventure-especially considering that this was their first offering.
